Making bread buns

Today we made bread rolls. First we mix the yeast. Then we leave it to rise up. This is what it looked like first.
15 minutes later it looked like this. See how it changed?
Then we mixed in 1 egg and the flour, and see how it changed more. Here is a video of us making the buns into shapes. Frankie ate lots.
We left them to rise some more and mum put them in the oven. When they were ready they looked like this:
We couldn't wait until dinner. We ate some warm with coconut oil. It was delicious.

This is the recipe we used. Mum likes it because it is so fast to make. Only 30 minutes.

1 cup + 2 TB warm water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 TB active dry yeast
1/4 cup sugar, but we use heaps less
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
3 1/2 cups flour, we use spelt

Mix water, oil, yeast, and sugar together in the bowl of an electric mixer and let it rest for 15 minutes. Add the salt and egg, mix thoroughly. Gradually add the flour. We often don't use all 3.5 cups. Divide into 12 equal pieces, and shape into round balls. Turn the oven on to 180C Place onto a greased baking sheet and let it rise for 10-15 minutes. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
