I went to the Gold Coast with my Dad on the 17th of February. I went to stay with my Nan in Gold Coast, while Dad went to Brisbane. Gold Coast is the coast of Brisbane, so Gold Coast is 1 hour drive from Brisbane. The first thing I did was swimming in the pool outside.
Chris (Nan's partner) lent me this grey boogie board to teach me how to swim.
This is Chris teaching me how to swim.
(This picture is at the end of the trip, you can see, because Dad is here)
Next day, we went to the bookshop. We bought 5 books for 5 dollars! It was awesome.
After that, we went to the cafe. I had a tropical juice, and Nan and Chris had a black coffee
The next day, we went to the sand sculpting contest, the sculptors weren't actually there doing them.
The sculptures had plastic over them because of the (I mean REALLY) windy weather.
The next day, we went to the shopping centre to shop for gifts for my friends/family.
I bought my Brother, Vincent a dinosaur plaster of Paris making thingy.
Bought my best friends, Charlotte and Ruby, some earrings, and my Mum some earrings.
And all of us lollies!
We also tryed the movie "Life of Pi"
But, it was too scary for both Nan and I. It was very graphic. It showed the hyena EATING (Literally EATING) the zebra and the orangutan! Disgusting! And, (Not that 3D is bad, I love 3D) the 3D made it worse! (Author's note: if any of you have seen Life of Pi and liked it, I'm sorry for my complaints).
The next day, Nan and I went to Surfer's Paradise (a little town near where they live)
for an Ice-Cream! I had a double layered one, (on top) strawberry ice-cream
(on the bottom) Mint ice-cream.
It was SOOO Delicious!!! Except I felt really bad in the stomach afterwards,
because I am dairy intolerant GRRRR.
Then on Thursday the weather was nicer, so we went to see the sculptures.
My favourite was the "Eye"
These are some pics we took of the sculptures:
It was now Friday, and Nan, Chris, and I were in hustle and bustle
getting ready for Aunty Tracy (Great-Aunty, that is)
and Uncle Mike (Great-Uncle that is), and Dad, were coming over for dinner!
(Except Dad is staying) Tonight, we have our chef, Nan! And our assistant, Ant!
Ready set, cook! Tonight, Nan is cooking
(Spaghetti?)
Nope, Spaghetti and MEATBALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YUMMMMMM.
This is my Aunty Tracy
> Dad

On the red couch, Mike
And, this is me playing the one and only "Greensleeves" on the piano (I know my piano, I do lessons)
And this was dinner:
YUM!
But my trip isn't over yet, Dad and I are still going to the horse show tonight, because,
Its now SATURDAY!
I was so excited. When we got there, we got given cowboy hats.
We went to our seat and found our entree sitting infront of us, salad in a wrap. There was lots of thunder sound effects. Once, the thunder was so loud it startled me while I was having a drink.
Then, there was about 5 or 6 riders coming out of the secret doors.
They were cracking their whipps and trying to catch the criminals. They had sports guns as their guns, and kept trying to shoot the criminals. It was really cool, then they had a play. It was about lots of competetive riders, and competitions. There were some pretty talented riders out there.
There were woman who could hang off the sides of their horse. And men who could control their horses around fire! It was EPIC!!!!! We also have roast beef for main, and Pavlova for dessert.
But my trip still isn't over!
BOOM, *Flash*.
An electrical storm, 5 minutes before we were due to leave. Ohhhh crap. ZOOOOOOMMM (That wasn't the storm, that was me, running to Dad's room). D-D-D-Dad? This is totally freaking me out.
BOOM CRACK CRASH
Ok, now, I had a shower, got dressed, and we made a dash for the car.
Now it is about 3 months later, and we are safely home. Ahhhh. Nice and relaxing.
I had a really super awesome time staying with Nan and Chris, it was my first trip away from my parents, and Nan and Chris made me feel at home. I can't wait to visit them again some time.
